What happens with your data when you visit cashmateapp.com and play Cashmate, in plain words.

The short version

There is no account, no sign-up and nothing to pay.
The game sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking.
Pages and the game load only from cashmateapp.com: no fonts, scripts or plugins from other websites.
Your city is stored in your own browser and is never sent to us.

1. Who is responsible

2. Visiting the website

To deliver a page, our web server necessarily receives what every browser sends with a request: your IP address, the address of the page, the time, and technical details such as the browser and language.

The website is hosted by Cloudi NextGen S.L. (clouding.io), Ronda General Mitre 25, bajos, 08017 Barcelona, Spain.

The web server keeps no access log of page visits. If a connection fails, for example an encrypted connection that breaks off, the server software can write a technical error message to the server's system log, and such a message may contain the IP address of that connection. We use these messages only to keep the server running and secure (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a working and secure website). The system log deletes its oldest entries automatically by size, currently after a few days.

3. What the game stores in your browser

Cashmate keeps your game in your browser's local storage on this device, so that it is still there next time:

neon-city.save — your city, your goal progress and your settings (sound, music, radio station and volume). It is saved every 10 seconds and when you leave the page.
neon-city.backup — a copy of your previous city, made only when you import a save file or restore the backup.
cashmate.hint.twoFingers — remembers that a one-time touch hint was shown.

These entries are strictly necessary to provide the game you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 of the German TDDDG). They never leave your device: the game sends nothing about you or your city anywhere. A save file is only created when you press Export save in Settings, and it goes where you choose. You can delete everything with Start a new city in Settings or by clearing this site's data in your browser.

The landing page and the player guide store nothing. The radio's music is synthesised in your browser; no audio is streamed from anywhere.

4. No cookies, no tracking, no third parties

Cashmate uses no cookies, no analytics or statistics tools, no advertising, no social media plugins and no content from other websites. Nobody else receives data from your visit or your game through us.

5. Your rights

For personal data we process, you have the right

to know what we hold about you and to get a copy (Art. 15 GDPR),
to have wrong data corrected (Art. 16),
to have your data deleted (Art. 17),
to have its processing restricted (Art. 18), and
to receive it in a common, machine-readable format (Art. 20).

Write to support@dealquanta.com. Note that we cannot see or change your city: it exists only in your browser.

Your right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

Where we process personal data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation. We then stop the processing unless we can show compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

6. Your right to complain

You can complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live, work or where you think the infringement happened (Art. 77 GDPR).
